Éveiller les passions des jeunes grâce à l’éducation par l’apprentissage expérientiel

The young participants of the 2015-2016 Youth Fusion project in visual and digital arts as well as writing and music composition met last May 17, 2016, for a great day of creativity at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. In three hours, they created, in teams, musical, pictorial or digital artworks based on the theme: memory.

Again, we were blown away by their immense talent ! The jury – composed of Michel de la Chenelière, Jean-Luc Murray, Jason Cantoro and Matthew Van Vliet – did not have an easy task, having to choose the winners ! Congratulations again to all students and thank you for university students and teachers who have made these projects possible, as well as our partners: the Azrieli Foundation, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Simple Plan Foundation, Concordia University, University of Montreal, UQAM and Laval University !

Since September, students from Barclay and Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Elementary Schools explored the world of opera as part of a project orchestrated by Youth Fusion. Inspired by historical figures, they rose to the challenge to write their own librettos,  put into music and performed by students from the University of Montreal.

Students presented May 13, 2016, the result of their hard work: the operas Catherine de Valois : le voyage d’une vie.

Congratulations to all the young participants and thank you to our valuable partners: the Azrieli Foundation, the Opera of Montreal, Commission scolaire de Montréal, Commission scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys and the University of Montreal .
