The role of the Director of Operations and Partnerships – New Brunswick is to ensure the development and management of Youth Fusion operations in New Brunswick, starting with the Fredericton area. Specifically, he / she will develop and maintain partnerships with schools, districts, municipalities, Indigenous governance institutions, government, post-secondary education institutions, and private and philanthropic partners. He / she will supervise project coordinators and managers and will ensure that the projects in place meet the quality standards of the organization.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations, he or she will:

  • Work jointly and closely with the senior management of operations to implement projects effectively;
  • Work closely with the Programming and Evaluation Director to adapt program content to the local reality and implement the evaluation plan;
  • Work jointly and closely with the President, the ED the AED and the Director – Partnerships, Strategy and Public Affairs to ensure and coordinate the submission of applications for financial assistance (grants, partnerships, etc.), the implementation of partnership agreements and accountability;
  • Participate in executive meetings and travel to the head office, as needed;
  • Develop the network of institutions (elementary and secondary education) participating in Youth Fusion projects in New Brunswick;
  • Create and maintain partnerships with schools, districts, municipalities, Indigenous governance institutions, government, post-secondary education institutions, private and philanthropic partners and project stakeholders in New Brunswick;
  • Contribute to the strategic development plan of the region and other regions;
  • Recruit project coordinators and other New Brunswick team members as required;
  • Supervise project coordinators (assist with hiring and training, regular follow-up to achieve goals, performance evaluations);
  • Revise and / or develop midterm reports and final reports for projects under his / her responsibility;
  • Closely monitor budgets and prepare financial reports for all projects under his / her responsibility;
  • Coordinate all administrative follow-ups of the legal entity of Youth Fusion in New Brunswick, including the approval of the annual accounts and the deposit of the accounts in the Official Journal, the updating of the statutes, the reports, the audit, the accounting, links with the bank, etc. ;
  • Be the custodian of the legal documents of Youth Fusion in New Brunswick (by-laws, tax receipts, legal notices, contracts of employment, etc.);
  • Compile data, statistics and other information and, if necessary, conduct research;
  • Coordinate the sending and compilation of evaluation questionnaires for our projects and collaborate on evaluation projects where appropriate;
  • Contribute to the organization of regional events;
  • Represent the organization at regional events (conferences, trade shows, etc.);
  • Work with other employees in the organization
  • Any other related tasks.




Diploma :

  • University degree in education science or equivalent


Experience :

  • Knowledge of New Brunswick First Relevant experience in the field of education of at least 5 years (in class with students, in a role allowing direct interaction with the school environment)
  • Experience in developing partnerships


Knowledge and skills required:

  • Knowledge of school dropout / perseverance in NB
  • Knowledge of the Education Program of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development
  • Knowledge of New Brunswick First Nations
