Your role is to develop creative, conceptual, and social skills in environmental design and sustainable development with students from grades 5-8 in the classroom. By setting up activities, workshops and interactive tours, the coordinator guides the youth through the steps of making an environmental design project, from concept to realization. This project aims to make youth aware of the environment around them and gets them to develop plausible solutions to local, social, and environmental issues.


Contract Period:

September 2017 to June 2018

10 hours per week


16$/ hour

- Having the students benefit from your expertise by facilitating projects that are integrative, stimulating and flexible
- Work closely with teachers, school administration, and representatives of Youth Fusion, to maximize the impact and visibility of the project in the school
- Maintaining a professional working relationship with the school (attendance, communication, respect of community culture, etc.)
- Demonstrating initiative, creativity and autonomy for the duration of the project, to ensure the achievements and success of the students
- Being present at team meetings
- If necessary, representing Youth Fusion at the University affiliated with the project and their partners
- Producing reports and collecting data within deadlines

Knowledge and skills:

Currently pursuing a university or college education in a field related to environmental design


- Working experience with youth
- Understanding how to organize and demonstrate projects


Spoken and written English fluency


- Office Suite
- Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator)
- Sketchup
- Autocad
