The Operations Deputy would be assisting with the daily operations of our educational programming for all of Ontario, under the Director of Operations for the province. The ideal candidate for this role would be a BILINGUAL recent graduate with a Bachelors or Masters in Education who is looking for hands-on experience in the alternative education and non-profit industry.

Terms:

Part-time: 22.5 hours / week

September 2017 to June 2018

Responsibilities:

You would be assisting with the daily operations of our educational programming for all of Ontario, under the Director of Operations for the province. The ideal candidate for this role would be a BILINGUAL recent graduate with a Bachelors or Masters in Education who is looking for hands-on experience in the alternative education and non-profit industry.

Your role includes but is not limited to;

  • Communicate daily with the Director
  • Plan and develop programming timelines for all in-school staff
  • Provide ongoing support for Youth Fusion program coordinators
  • Assist with data collection and presentation
  • Assist with communications to outside partners and scheduling in collaboration with the director of philanthropy
  • Maintain records of current and upcoming programs
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of the Ontario Education Curriculum in both official languages
  •  Collect information for formal reports for the government and head office
Academic:

Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Education or related field

Knowledge and skills:

Strong time management, deadline driven, multitasking, and effective team worker

Experience:

1 year in personnel management, customer support, education support, or office support

Languages:

Must be fluent in French and English

Software:

Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word), Photoshop or alternative digital media program
