The mandate of the opera coordinator is to enable elementary students (Grades 3-6) to discover opera. He runs workshops mainly in the classroom, in close collaboration with teachers, and develops activities that allow young people to explore different aspects of the opera world such as singing, rhythm, writing, gestures and stage directing. The activities he organizes include notions about the history of opera and its great composers. Throughout the school year, the coordinator accompanies young people in the creation of their own opera, from writing to production, which will be presented on stage at the end of the year. In addition, to make the knowledge gained more concrete, workshops with industry professionals and outings are planned.
