Your role will be to introduce Secondary II to V students to the entire process of developing and promoting a video game. The project is a joint effort with our partner, Ubisoft, which will look after training the students in various disciplines. As project coordinator, you will guide the students through the steps of designing and producing a prototype that will be submitted to a jury. By the end of the project, the students are expected to have acquired technical skills and knowledge pertaining to the video gaming industry.

- Having the students benefit from your expertise by putting forward projects that are integrative, stimulating and wide-ranging;
- Working closely with the school’s teachers and administrators, and Youth Fusion officials, in order to maximize the project’s impact and awareness within the school;
- Maintaining a professional relationship with the school (diligent attendance, communications, adherence to the culture and rules of the school environment, etc.);
- Taking initiative, being creative and a self-starter, in order to effectively contribute to the project’s execution and success;
- Attending team and progress meetings;
- Supervising the students and looking after their safety;
- When needed, representing Youth Fusion, the sponsoring university or the project itself before our partners;
- Drafting the appropriate reports (midway progress and final reports) as scheduled.

Knowledge and skills:

Currently pursuing a university education in a field related to video game


- Experience working and interacting with teenagers
- Basic programming and scripting skills
- Unreal Engine 4 Blueprint Visual Scripting knowledge (an asset)


- Spoken and written French
- Spoken and written English (some English schools will be participating in the program)


- Office Suite
- Construct 2 (or other game editor available for young people)
- Photoshop, design and animated sprites and 3D

Criminal background:

A criminal background check and vulnerable sector screening is required for this position. The process is subject to a confidentiality protocol between Youth Fusion and the SPVM.
