    Entrepreneurship

    The program

    Grade 5-6*

    This program aims to introduce students to the field of entrepreneurship by letting them experience the day-to-day reality of a business that operates in a field they are passionate about. Looking to create a business that will be an added value to their neighbourhood or school community, students take on every step involved in its creation. Throughout the project, students improve their grasp of business-related knowledge, such as its vocabulary as well as financial and promotional plan development, while learning to manage the day-to-day operations of a business.

    Students often express a desire to create a first business and to better understand how it works and the entrepreneur’s job.

    Our project coordinators, most of whom are university students in management programs, work with this new generation of entrepreneurs by helping them discover their strengths and talents to motivate them to pursue their studies.

    Throughout the year, through various workshops and challenges led by industry mentors, youth explore, among other things, the different stages of a business plan:

    • The project
    • The market research
    • The marketing plan
    • The human resources and operations plan
    • The financial plan
    • The delivery of a complete business plan

    *Youth aged 10 to 18 (Some flexibility applies depending on the target audiences.)
