ABOUT YOUTH FUSION
Youth Fusion is an award-winning charity founded in Québec in 2009 by Gabriel Bran Lopez, that contributes to the perseverance, orientation, employability and civic engagement of youth by implementing innovative experiential learning projects that create ongoing links between school systems and the community.
Every week, we work with 9,884 youth in 148 schools in rural, urban, and Indigenous communities in Canada, France and Senegal
Each student, without exception, deserves to experience an educational path that allows them to reach their full potential.
We are able to achieve our ambition through our mobilizing approach and our unique, innovative, complementary and high-impact programs on the academic perseverance, employability, guidance and civic engagement of youth.
Youth Fusion has developed a unique experiential learning model based on a variety of innovative educational programs. These allow students to acquire cross-curricular as well as transferable disciplinary skills, discover careers, and spark passions, all thanks to the entire community that supports school perseverance.
Our interdisciplinary educational programs are implemented during class hours and extracurricular throughout the school year. The projects developed with youth fall into one of the following four areas:
Arts ∙ Science & Engineering ∙ Design ∙ Leadership & Entrepreneurship
The young coordinators, graduating students employed by the organization, develop projects in their field of study with primary and secondary students. They forge close and meaningful relationships with them, thus valuing continuity and diligence.
The projects are carried out in close collaboration with schools, teachers and members of the community.
Mentors, employees of businesses and community organizations in areas related to the projects, are assigned to schools to introduce youth to career opportunities and support them in achieving their goals in their classroom projects.
Our organizational values guide our words, actions, behaviors and decision-making on a daily basis. They help us determine our priorities. Guided by them, we always act with respect for diversity, with a concern for inclusion and an objective of equity.
