    Become a PROJECT COORDINATOR in Fashion Design for YOUTH FUSION !

    Description

    While collaborating with the teaching teams, you will develop and lead weekly activities in class or after class (secondary 3 to 5) related to fashion design. The goal is for the group to develop a collection of outfits that will be presented at a fashion show with professionals from the fashion industry !

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Introduce youth to the industry and history of fashion, to the search of ideas and raw material, then to the drawing and dressmaking;
    • Accompany youth through all the steps leading to the creation of a collection of five outfits (fashion illustrations, cutting, tailoring, patterns, moulding and graphic design).

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Current/completed university or college program related to the fashion design field OR any equivalent experience;
    • Experience in sketching, pattern development and garment manufacturing;
    • Spoken and written French.

    Will be considered as assets:

    • Any experience with youth with learning or behavioural disabilities
    • Any other experience working/volunteering with youth (e.g. day camps, youth centre, etc.);
    • Desire to be a role model for youth and act as an agent of social change;

    THE ADVANTAGES

    • Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine (Chandler)
    • $20/h

    IMPORTANT
